The three wardrobe essentials you need in your closet to easily transition from the summer heat to drinking a pumpkin spice latte on a crisp fall morning!

I'm not sure about you guys but up until pretty recently, I've always hated shopping for fall clothing. I felt stuck on how to find the middle ground between my summer and winter wardrobes and I hated having to buy chunky sweaters and coats because I always felt like they would be covering up my cute outfit. Well, I don't know what planet I was living on because ever since moving to New York, I have a new found appreciation for fall and all of the outfits and trends that come with it. And, because I used to hate buying clothes for this season, I have a lot of catching up to do which is really hurting my bank account. With that being said, I wanted to share the three items I'll be adding to my cart and wearing the most this fall!
Light/Transitional Jackets
A light coat or jacket is the perfect fall essential to have in your wardrobe that makes transitioning into the cooler weather so much easier! I love being able to throw a jacket on over a dress/tank top or with a pair of jeans to stay warm when running errands or on a night out on the town. Below are some of my favorites!
Leather
I have always loved having a leather jacket in my wardrobe but it wasn't until a year or so ago when I discovered my love for all leather clothing items. Whether it's a great pair of pants or a blazer, anything leather is the perfect transitional piece to have in your fall wardrobe that can carry into the winter as well!
Sweaters
I don't think I have to tell you guys why sweaters are some of the best pieces to have in your closet for fall but if for some reason you don't already have a collection of your own, I'll link a few of my favorites below. I love to throw on a cozy sweater to go grab a coffee, run errands, or even with a skirt or over a dress for a night out or to dinner with friends.
I know I'll be ordering a few of these items myself in the near future so I hope this post was helpful for you as well and gave you some inspiration to add some new pieces to your closet!
As always, thanks so much for reading and don't hesitate to reach out with any comments, questions, or thoughts on what you'd like to see on the blog.
XOXO,
Averie!
