My Coffee Line-Up

Coffee is kind of like a religion for me. It all started when I studied abroad in the south of France my junior year of college where I really fell in love with coffee. It became an everyday ritual for me to stop in different cafes in the small town I was living in at the time and order a cafe au lait or whatever caught my eye that morning. Ever since then, I’ve become a full on addict and can’t imagine going a day without a nice cup of joe. However, it’s only recently that I’ve really upped my coffee game and taken it to the next level. So, I wanted to share with you a few of my must-haves if you want to make a cup of coffee even better than your favorite cafe.

As much as I still love making a pot of Starbucks pike place coffee, I’ve become obsessed with the nespresso machine that I invested in a few months ago. It’s so fun trying out all the different coffees you can make, choosing the flavor/roast you want that day, picking the size of your coffee, and obviously I love that I can now make a latte at home. The machine I bought also came with an electric frother if you want to really take your barista skills to the next level without putting in any effort. There’s also just something so satisfying about watching and hearing it make your coffee, it’s some serious ASMR, trust me. I also think since it’s espresso it gives me an extra boost compared to a normal cup of coffee and thus limits my intake of caffeine throughout the rest of the day. If I haven’t already convinced you, I’ve linked the nespresso machine I use below as well as some of my favorite pods that I’ve tried so far.
As far as what goes in my coffee, I used to drink it black with no milk or sweetener but about a year ago I started adding in a few different supplements into my coffee and have loved the differences I’ve noticed since using them. I really wanted to start adding in more collagen to my diet and my favorite so far has definitely been the vital proteins unflavored collagen peptides. It dissolves so easily into your coffee, has no taste, and I’ve noticed a huge difference in the strength of my nails as well as how fast my hair grows. The other supplement that I like adding into my coffee is inulin powder by kos nutrition. I first heard about adding inulin powder into your coffee from theskinnyconfidential blog where she talked about how it’s a great source of fiber and boosts your metabolism. After adding these two supplements into my coffee, I’ll top it off with some cinnamon which is a great anti-inflammatory but also just makes any coffee taste that much better.
I really hope this post gave you some inspiration to create your own personal cup of cozy from home and can also hopefully help you save some money from buying that $5 starbucks drink.
